Whether you've always imagined yourself turning up to your wedding in a horse-drawn carriage or on a scooter, there are many things to consider before you finalise your wedding transport.
To help you make the right choice for your Big Day, read our guide:
Make sure your dress fits inside
You don't necessarily need to wear a huge meringue dress to have problems getting into - or on to - your wedding transport. Fishtail dresses, for example, make it difficult to lift your legs up high, so if you're planning on a bike, a carriage or a vintage car, work out how you'll haul yourself into it first.
Similarly, tight-fitted dresses cause the same problems, while huge dresses will cut your choices down considerably. Remember, there needs to be enough room for you and groom, so if you have a sizeable dress, make sure you pick a vehicle that will fit it.
After all, you don't want to a) appear 'shoved in', especially in wedding photos, and b) lose your bridal gracefulness by not being able to elegantly step into the car.

Fits everyone you want
Traditionally, the wedding car transports the bride and her father - or whoever will give her away - to the ceremony, before driving her and her husband to the venue after they tie the knot. Couples can also hire other cars to transport the rest of their bridal party if they wish.
However, you may want your parents, bridesmaids and groomsmen to all travel together with you, in which case you'll need to consider the size of the vehicle.
VW Camper vans have become hugely popular over the last five years - not only do they look incredibly cool, but they seat a number of people, so your mum, dad, and whoever else wants to travel with you will be happy.
Of course, you could go even bigger and hire an actual bus for your wedding day. Vintage buses are all the rage at the moment, and enable you to transport all - or most - of your guests from one venue to another.
Something special
If you're looking to arrive in style on your wedding day, there are certainly several ways you can do that these days. Why not turn up in a helicopter? Or you could ride a horse to the church, fly to the venue or even arrive by boat.
Nothing is too unusual these days, but just make sure your venue allows your transport before you go ahead and book it.
Drive away in a retro car
If you or the groom is a car fanatic, your wedding day is a great opportunity to indulge this passion and treat yourselves to a classic car - well, at least hire one for the day.
You could rent an old VW Beetle, a Jaguar, a 1950s Mini or Cinquecento, a Daimler or a Rolls Royce, and drive yourselves from the ceremony to the venue. This is a fantastic chance for you and your partner to enjoy the first moments as husband and wife.
