Castle Ward is a unique 18th century mansion set within rolling hills looking out over the waters of Strangford Lough in County Down and could be a perfect potential venue for your upcoming wedding day.

This 18th century mansion is famed for it's intriguing mix of architectural styles and sees classical and gothic architecture combined. It was built in the 1760s and has a truly vibrant history.

This venue has magnificent sunken gardens where you can host an outdoor wedding, or simply use them as a photogenic backdrop for your wedding photographs.

You can also choose to tie the knot on the shores of Strangford Lough, or again, just use the tranquil scenery as a backdrop to your all-important photographs.

Another spectacular spot to tie the knot would be under their 40 year old lime tree that leads to the Temple Water vista, framing Audley's Castle. This is perfect for weddings of up to 100 guests and is a truly romantic setting.

Within the mansion house you can choose to marry in the neo-classical mansion hall, the theatre, the stable yard tearoom or a marquee can also be erected in the grounds with the classical side of the mansion as your backdrop, or set beside Strangford Lough with views of old Castle Ward.
